I spent a couple of hours in town today – it was nice and sunny with blue skies and a luke-warm breeze. But the real world wasn’t the only place today that seemed to be smiling – when I got back home, I could swear I almost heard the online community cheering away, as Apple unveiled higher quality DRM-free music on the iTunes Store. Starting in May, tracks from EMI will be offered at 256 kbps AAC. And they’ll be DRM-free.
