iTunes library facts and figures

It’s been more than a year since I last took a closer look at my music library – so here’s an update:

Classical music: a total of 994 albums (up from 688 late September 2008). It would take 47 days and 6 hours to listen to all of it.

Pop: 3.588 tracks (up from 3.000) that would take 11 days and 2 hours to listen to.

Jazz: 80 artists (up from 65), 727 tracks, total listening time would be 2 days and 16 hours.

Purchased from eMusic so far this year: 257 albums consisting of 943 tracks that would take 7 days and 7 hours to listen to – a total of 14,3 GB (of that 11,8 gigs is Classical music).

All in all, there is now almost 108 gigs of music (up from 80), divided into more than 15.000 tracks that would take 61 days and 20 hours to listen to.

(The whole library is backed up on a weekly basis to two external hard drives.)
