Johnny Depp will play the lead character in an adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeny Todd directed by Tim Burton – Film School Rejects have the trailer. I think Depp is a good actor, but isn’t the whole “let’s do another wacky character” starting to wear a little thin?
Due to my own distorted time-line, nowadays it feels like Pixar is throwing out new flicks faster than you can say box-office hit: Cars came out a year ago (haven’t seen it yet though) and although we’re still more than a week away from the release here in Sweden of Ratatouille, the trailer for the next one is already out: Wall-E opens in the States on June 27, 2008, but a sneak peek of some computer generated magic, courtesy of Pixar, can be viewed at /film.
