The Royal Opera in Stockholm is currently performing Madama Butterfly, and the reviews have been stellar. I went to see it Friday. Going from having high expectations to a feeling of having been fooled of… something wasn’t really what I in mind. Quality of the musicians and singers was very good, but the production lacked engagement.
