The High Line

Hmpf. Just after my week in New York has ended, the new High Line Festival opens – performers include Bang on a Can, Laurie Anderson and The Polyphonic Spree.

The High Line is an elevated railway constructed in 1929 that runs along the West Side of Manhattan. Trains stopped running in 1980, and sadly, at present it is not open to the public (it’d make for some wonderful photo ops!), although there are plans to reuse the High Line and turn it into a public garden. Lots of information can be found at Friends of the High Line.

Hi and welcome to my online bricolage. Here I’ll go on about anything from music to software and photography. It is essentially an online addition of sorts to my own personal diary.
