Covers and wetsuits

Party girlsLast night the Jet Set Band performed at a crowded Little Havana – a total of 8 guys, and not a KLM uniform in sight (actually, as the night proceeded, it got so warm in there they did their covers wearing only shorts).

Today I was invited to come with a whole bunch of people and do a shore dive on the east coast. Instead, I did a simple dive with John at Buddy’s Reef. In the nine weeks I’ve been here, I don’t think I’ve seen that many people in wetsuits at the same time. There were divers literally everywhere – going in and coming out of the water, some hanging on the jetty trying to put their gear together, and others desperately trying out their crappy rusty buoyancy on the poor reef. John and I decided to avoid the herds by going against the rules and go with the current. It was a very pleasant dive.
