Smart Folders save you time. You basically give them a list of rules to follow and they automatically fill themselves with content based on the criteria you’ve defined.
The Apple Blog has posted a very nice tutorial on using Smart Folders to save time in the Finder for frequently accessed items. A must read for anyone who wants to be on top on things.
